Exposed Aggregate

Extremely popular and natural exposed stone finish used in all areas, comes in a huge range from our suppliers.

The process of exposed aggregate after you have selected your mix is to pour the aggregate into your selected area on day 1 and to spray the surface with a retarder product that slows the surface cement from dying enabling us to wash it off and exposed the natural stone you have selected.

On the day off wash off a high pressure washer is used to ensure a evenly exposed stone appears, we then cut expansion cuts into the area to allow the concrete to move if required. Once the area has been saw cut washed and all clean up, we then wait till the surface is dry before applying a high quality sealer which protects the surface from dirt and stains.

Sealing on such surfaces is recommended every 6-12months depending on traffic to the area to ensure it remains in new condition and protected from stains.

Coloured Concrete

Coloured ConcreteUsed in areas such as driveways, patios, paths and entertainment areas, coloured concrete can be achieved in two ways:

Colour in the mix: Oxide colour being put throughout the entire concrete mix at the concrete plant, this method is great for heavy traffic areas and is also more durable.

Colour on top: Colour hardener being applied to the surface when the concrete is wet this ensures a strong bond between dust and concrete.

We recommend on both applications that a colour sealer is applied to the area for resistance against stains and to keep a fresh and new looking concrete surface.

Slate Impression

Slate Impression photo

Suitable in most areas from Driveways to entertainment areas, slate is a stamped impression on concrete to give several different appearances similar to that of a slate tile.

Once an impression is chosen and a slab is laid, when the surface is wet a colour hardener is selected by the client, usually a base and a highlight colour (release agent) are applied depending on the effect required.

The base colour is seen overall but the highlight colour is apparent in the deeper impression giving it a two toned appearance. The slab is allowed to dry enough so the slate mats can be applied and we begin stamping the desired impression.

Returning the following day sees the expansions cuts and washing the surface. Once dry the high quality sealer is applied giving it a shinny and stain protected surface.

Sealing on such surfaces is recommended every 6-12months depending on traffic to the area to ensure it remains in new condition and protected from stains.

Stencil

A Pattern desired paving look that comes in a wide range of pattern and styles, and is common in pool areas as it’s a non slip surface.

When concrete slab is laid and surface is still wet a stencil pattern is applied, followed by the colour dust in which is absorbed into surface, once the selected finish is complete the concrete is given time to dry. Once the concrete has dried enough to remove the stencil, the pattern is then seen in the slab.

The following day we put expansion cuts in the concreted area and clean up ready for sealing, the high quality sealer is applied protecting the surface and giving it the finishing touch.

Sealing on such surfaces is recommended every 6-12months depending on traffic to the area to ensure it remains in new condition and protected from stains.

Pave Cut Concrete

Is a new innovative design achieved by saw-cutting concrete into either two patterns diamonds or straight line Squares. This clean design idea gives you a paver look without the stress of future movement and growth of weeds between pavers.

Ideal in all areas pave cut is achieved once slab has been laid and dimensions of diamonds has been chosen by the client. Once The area has been cut it is then cleaned and sealed to give it the finishing touch.
